Roteglia 1848

The historic factory in the province of Modena

The Roteglia 1848 liquor factory is part of the history of Sassuolo, a town in the province of Modena. The history is palpable from the walls of the building; it’s a building that has watched the Roteglia family grow and create excellent products. These delicacies range from Sassonovo made from local grapes to the traditional Nocino, a ‘liqueur flavoured with fresh walnut husks and other herbs and spices, a specialty of Sassuolo’. While several Italian municipalities try to claim traditional Nocino as their own, Distilleria Roteglia 1848 has been producing it since the 1920s. Here, the quality of the raw materials combines with the use of completely artisanal techniques to transport you back in time. Roteglia 1848 liqueurs are a grade above.
