The position where the Ferretti company is located is very strategic. It was chosen precisely because of its fertile soil, thanks to the presence of resurgences, which still make a valid contribution to the quality of the wines produced. A continuous process of evolution that leads to the renewal of the vineyards and their reconversion in order to always have efficient and controlled productions.

The history of the Ferretti company began in 1928, when Mr. Sante and his three sons began producing lambrusco wine using concrete tanks they had made themselves. An activity to try and improve the family’s economic situation, but which then turned out to be a natural inclination. Time has shown that the Ferretti family’s determination is stronger than any adversity. After being forced to sell their entire property during the crisis of ’29, they managed to recover their holdings and return to what they really excel at: making wine.

Today it is the two sisters Denise and Elisa who run the family business, thanks to their passion and the teachings received from father to daughter. The result is a varied but territorial production, where tradition fills every bottle sold. Traditional Lambrusco is the prominent product, but local white grapes such as Malvasia Aromatica and Pignoletto are also present. Every stage of cultivation and production respects organic winemaking.

An added value that eliminates chemical components, to bring out the true flavour of the grapes, without altering the balance of the surrounding nature. Ferretti’s strong point is the ancestral method. A process born in France to follow the natural times of wine-making, when technologies were not yet as advanced as they are today. Only nature marks the hands of the vineyard. The result? A timeless Lambrusco, more long-lived and able to express its characteristics at their best.
