Formentera

Fall in love with Formentera this autumn

Formentera offers an escape from everything. The rhythm of life is wonderfully languid, perfect for spending some lazy days on some of Europe’s most beautiful beaches, where the white sand is lapped by azure and turquoise waters of incredible shades. Tourism is closely tied to environmental ethics and autumn is one of the best seasons to enjoy this little corner of paradise.

In the last days of September, with the end of summer, the island of Formentera begins to receive fewer tourists. And it is especially in October when you definitely notice the end of another summer season on the island.

This is why October is one of the best months to visit and enjoy the smallest of the Pitiusas Islands. The temperature is still very good, without the scorching heat of the summer months, and at night a thin jacket comes in handy.

And the temperature of the Mediterranean Sea during this month is great. After all the hot summer, the water is still warm and you can spend hours under the water diving and snorkelling, or on a beach mat receiving last sunโ€™s rays.

The roads are less busy, with fewer motorcycles and cars, and you can access some beaches without waiting. You can breathe better, you can circulate better and you can enjoy much more of the landscape and nature.

The beaches are much cleaner and also clearer due to the fewer tourists around. You can enjoy each cove more and you can even find nooks in which to be practically alone.

Tranquillity reigns In Autumn, but many things still happen on the island. Formentera is still moving.

All the establishments, hotels, bars and restaurants are still open, so you can continue enjoying all the leisure offer that the island provides.

Also during this month, there are several activities and popular festivals that are worth visiting, such as the festivities of El Pilar in the village of La Mola.

For example, gastronomic weekends (Fines Semana Gastonomicos) are held, where you can taste the delicious dishes of some of the best restaurants on the island offering gastronomic menus at a closed price of 20 euros.

One more reason to visit this beautiful island by letting yourself be carried away by the magical rhythm of this land. in no hurry, to find a piece of yourself
