LÖWENGANG Chardonnay Bio, a brilliant expression of the terroir

The Löwengang Chardonnay has played a major role in the incredible success of the Alois Lageder wine estate and in establishing Alto Adige’s status as a quality wine region.

Son of Lageder organic and biodynamic viticulture – Demeter certified – this South Tyrolean Chardonnay comes from the best lands of the Löwengang Estate in Magrè.

Left to ferment spontaneously in French oak barriques, and left to rest for a little less than a year on the fine lees, it offers an extremely balanced sip, in which the freshness of the fruit harmonizes perfectly with the delicate tones given away by the passage in wood. It is a Chardonnay where all the components are worked by chisel, and they go to fit together like the pieces of a mosaic.

Brilliant, gold yellow colour with a green shimmer. Very rich, complex, still quite closed aroma. Burgundian style with a delicate creaminess, some toasty oak and ripe tropical fruit. Touches of vanilla and roasted almonds. Well structured though elegant flavour, harmonious, with a pungent, fresh acidity to match the depth of the fruit and the oaky backbone.

It’s perfect with all types of seafood.
