Tantevì Barbera d’Asti DOCG 2019
Grapes from the best company plots planted with Barbera. Hand-picked in the early part of September. Wine aged from six to nine months in steel or cement vats before bottling. Ruby red color with violet reflections that turn to garnet after a few years of aging. Intense aroma of stoned fruits, primarily cherry with strawberry, violet, and sometimes almond. Savory and full-bodied in the mouth, with marked acidity and a slight but clear tannicity that fades over the years. It goes well with red and grilled meats, cold cuts and cheeses, soups, and game; it prefers fatty and savory foods that enhance its ability to “cleanse the mouth” thanks to the typical acidity of the grape variety. It can last from four to seven years depending on the vintage, in proportion to structure, color, alcohol, and acidity.
Serving temperature: 18-20°C.
Temperss Escamotage White Wine 2019
Grapes from the oldest estate vineyards planted in the 1960s. Hand-harvested in the early part of September. Wine aged from six to nine months in steel before bottling. Pale straw yellow color that increases in intensity with time. Floral aromas with hints that recall the aromaticity of the grape variety. Evident mineral notes. Full-bodied and intense on the palate, never aggressive, with good acidity; a versatile wine that accompanies fish, shellfish, white meats, grilled meats, and vegetables.
Serving temperature: 12-14° C
Sah! Piedmont DOC Chardonnay 2020
100% Chardonnay grapes from vines planted in the 1980s. Hand-picked in the early part of September. Wine aged for six months in steel before bottling. Pale straw yellow color, which increases in intensity with time. Floral aromas with hints of exotic fruit and yellow flesh. In the mouth, fresh, full, and delicate with a good aromatic persistence; a versatile wine that accompanies cold appetizers and first and second courses of fish or white meat, either baked or grilled.
Serving temperature: 12-14° C
The family business that rediscovers local traditions
The winemaking tradition of the Langhe Roero and Monferrato areas is now known all over the world. Among all the wineries, some manage to stand out from the others. A perfect example is Tenuta il Nespolo, a family business that bases its success on the tradition handed down from father to son. Today, Luca Amerio runs the winery, thanks to his father's advice and supervision. The wines are the classics of the territory, as well as the grapes; however, there are some innovations, such as Sangiovese, that are usually rare in these areas. What Tenuta il Nespolo wants to do is to make quality wines, controlling the production and concentrating on the characteristics of every single wine. They call it cognitive viticulture, and it is the result of the experience acquired over the years by the whole family and during Luca's studies.
