RoadTrip#1 – Bellaveder Winery

Fourth stop (plus one): Bellaveder winery

Andrea and Gilbert have entered the heart of their RoadTrip#1 among some of the best Italian wineries.

On the road that would take them from Villa Picta winery to Trentino, the “Wineduo” also had the chance to take a little break at Benazzoli Winery, a young winery in province of Verona, located just minutes away from Lake Garda, lovingly managed by the two sisters Claudia and Giulia, two forces of nature (an advice, keep an eye on them, they have so much talent!).

Emboldened by the break, they finally revealed their fourth stage: Bellaveder Winery, in the village of Faedo, in the upper part of the Adige Valley of Trentino on the border with Alto Adige.

“They are among the most beautiful vineyards I have ever visited – Andrea tells us – they have a magnificent position overlooking the whole valley of the Adige river”. The Bellaveder winery has a total area of eight hectares divided into two distinct areas: the first located adjacent to the cellar, also divided into two parts at different heights, where both white and red wines are grown: Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc, Sauvignon, Gewürztraminer, Pinot Noir, Teroldego and Lagrein. The second area is located a few kilometers away in the Valle dei Laghi, under the Brenta Dolomites mountain range, where Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Müller-Thurgau are cultivated at much higher altitudes.

“Müller-Thurgau has completely conquered me – continues Andrea – it was a pleasant discovery, it was award-winning and it is not even one of the top wines of the winery, this tells you everything”.

Fifteen different wines, all from organic farming, scenic vineyards and a family tradition that has lasted for decades: there are many reasons to fall in love with Bellaveder!
