Giulia Mulè aka Mondomulia
Over the years, Mondomulia has become a reference point for food lovers in London with awards in important magazines (The Evening Standard, Daily Maily, Huffington Post, Buzzfeed, etc.). Giulia is passionate about “specialty coffee” and regularly writes about coffee shops for specialized magazines in the sector.
She is a food and travel writer and photographer. She has been blogging for over 8 years! Her blog is a space to share her food photography, baking recipes and restauurant reviews. She loves trying new restaurants and cafés in London and she wanted to share her knowledge and recommend her favourite places to her readers.
In 2019 she moved to Wroclaw in Poland with her husband Sandy after living in London for 13 years. She still return to England regularly to see her brother and friends and to keep up to date with London’s restaurants. She was born in Rome, Italy and she lived there until she was 25 years old. She always had a passion for traveling and curiosity for exploring the world, so after university she moved to New York to do an internship for 6 months. After that she won a scholarship to work in London and she has been here ever since. Her plan was to keep moving, but then she met Sandy and so she decided to stay. They got married in London, but they also had an Italian wedding in Rome and in Mumbai in 2012.
Hitting the milestone of 10 years in London was an opportunity to reflect on her life in this country and she became also a British citizen. In 2018, she tooks a 2-month sabbatical in Bali and it was one of the most transformative and soul-enriching experiences of her life!
This year, a job opportunity came up for her husband in Poland and they decided to leave the UK. They both wanted to try something new and live in a smaller city. She doesn’t know how long she will live in Poland, she has no plans. As a travel writer, it is great to have the opportunity to explore new culture and traditions and she is looking forward to discovering more of Poland and Eastern Europe. Over the years she lived in London, she revived her love for photography and discovered a new passion for food and baking. She used to work as an Account Manager in advertising (sitting at a desk all day) so baking and photography became her hobbies and her way to keep her creativity alive.
In 2011 she decided to combine her passions into Mondomulia, her food and travel blog. At the end of 2014, she quit advertising to focus on Mondomulia full time. Her every day life is spent at home cooking, writing and taking photos or travelling to beautiful destinations around the world.
She is always with her smartphone in hand! In the evenings and weekends, she tries to put her phone away and relax by baking, reading a book, painting watercolours or watching a movie.
