The festival is an unmissable event for wine lovers, especially ones who want to discover new tastes from all over the world, while at the same time get up to date with all the latest news about cultivation techniques, grape varieties, and wine commerce. After Vinitaly was cancelled, a strong signal of resistance has been spread by Helmuth Köcher, founder of this event, who has decided to fight Covid-19 risks with very detailed organization combined with strict hygienic and distancing rules, without losing the standards of glamour and elegance.
This festival is a real milestone in Italy, and the international panorama and strong values of the roots and historical value of wine, are always looking to the future. Now there are no excuses for missing these five days of full immersion into the world of Gods’ nectar!
While tasting Wine Hunter awarded wines combined with irresistible goodies, visitors will have the chance to discover all the secrets of this magical drink, starting from its roots, which are the main theme of this year’s edition. Conferences, masterclasses, forums, live talks, and laboratories will satisfy even the most demanding and curious taste explorers.
Wine is also an art form, and it will be celebrated on the opening night of the festival at the stunning Teatro Puccini. During the Gala event of November 5, we will have a preview of “Wine Odyssey”, a movie project that will take us through wine’s history from its origin to its future.
The most intrepid visitors will also have the opportunity to explore the heart of Merano thanks to many side events placed in the most stunning corners of the city and connected by a romantic promenade on Passirio river.
